Welcome to Class 31 Gen – a website designed to publish the latest available information regarding Class 31 workings on the various preserved railway lines around the UK. It will also collate known archive information such as B.R. depot loco allocation history and accompanying works notes, last mainline workings, preserved line web site information and track mileages, preserved line workings – plus additional features such as a document library and various railwayana items that are known to exist.
It is anticipated that future site updates will include the data history of all 263 Class 31’s, plus the digitisation of existing paper records that relate to main line workings in the 1980’s and 1990’s.
Class 31 Gen is a developing project, and as such the accuracy of all published data is purely a reflection of the latest gen submitted. Please do contact us via the Contribute page if you are able to add or amend any content in order that Class 31 Gen can strive to be a continued source of accurate and timely information for all.
